Privacy Policy

VerifyDI ("we", "us") provides a mobile application that scans medical-device labels for expiration tracking. This page describes what data the VerifyDI mobile app and website collect, how we use it, and how it is stored. We aim to keep this short and honest.

Camera

The mobile app requests access to your device's camera so it can read barcodes, QR codes, and printed expiration dates on medical-device packaging. Camera frames are processed locally on your device in real time. We do not record, save, or transmit photos or video.

Account information

To sign in to the VerifyDI app, you provide an email address and password. Passwords are hashed before storage and we are unable to read them in plain text. Your email address is used only to sign you in and to contact you about your account—we never sell it or use it for marketing.

Scan data

When you scan a medical-device label, the app decodes the barcode or UDI text on your device to check the expiration date.

We do not collect personal health information about patients. The app reads only the manufacturer-printed identifier on the device packaging.

How we use this data

  • Authenticate you to the app and our servers.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the VerifyDI service.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

Storage and retention

Account data is stored on servers operated by VerifyDI in the United States and is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by reaching out through the contact form linked below.

Children

VerifyDI is intended for use by healthcare professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
